DA RULES (AND REWARDS)

What is YOURSELF?
Students of the Week get three things (or four if you count bragging rights): They get to write their name on the poster at the front of the class; they get a Student of the Week certificate; and this third reward.
What is CHESS?
When you figure out the meaning of a word using the other words in a sentence, you're using this type of clue.
What is a CONTEXT CLUE?
After receiving a verbal warning and continuing to do something against the rules, Mr. Powers hands students these infamous "sheets".
What are BEHAVIOR THINK SHEETS?
As a way to start the week off on a positive note and celebrate the greatness I see from different students, the Student of the Week ceremony is usually held on this day of the week.
What is MONDAY?
Mr. Powers' watch was a birthday gift from his girlfriend. It's a brand called Mathey-Tissot; however, many students claim it is from this luxury watch brand.
What is ROLEX?
In the word geological, "geo" is the prefix while "logical" is this type of word which may remind you of a plant or tree.
What is a ROOT WORD?
True or false: after you get your food from the cafeteria, it is ok to wander around the cafeteria and sit by whoever you want.

What is KEEP THEM TO YOURSELF?
Mr. Powers usually uses purple for the slides in class since that is his favorite color. However, he uses this other color for the Student of the Week slides. (I will accept two different colors since it could be seen either way.)
What is YELLOW/ORANGE?
Mr. Powers has a lot of patience, and doesn't like to strain his voice. Thus, he is known for never doing this to students.

What is UNCLEAR (BECAUSE OF A LACK OF INFORMATION)?
Cousins staff are encouraged to reward students who show great behavior with these points, abbreviated with four letters.

A homework pass can be purchased for this many +2s. It's a great deal since homework passes are worth 60 points, but when you do the math, this amount of +2s equals 30 points.

This red bird is the logo and mascot of Cousins. It has an alliterative name.
These tickets are given in Mr. Powers' class as a reward for students who meet or exceed expectations throughout the whole day. They can be used to purchase rewards as seen on the poster at the front and right of the room.
