I will make sure to check the daily slides on Canvas so I know what I missed while I was gone! I will not come to Ms. Bailey and say, "What did I miss?".
You were out sick, or you were on vacation, what should you do when you return?
I should be actively listening. That means I am silent, I am facing Ms. Bailey and I am giving my full attention.
While I am talking, instructing, giving directions, etc., what should you be doing?
I should quietly get behind the next person in line and close any gaps in the line without pushing or shoving.
How should you line up in the hallway?
Homework, reminders, bell work, to-dos and essential questions.

No. 100% no. It is your responsibility to check Canvas for what you missed and your responsibility to make-up that work on your own time.

I need to quietly and quickly get my materials out (BEHIND my pushed in chair) and then place my backpack up against the wall in the front or back of the room.

How are my assignments/units organized on Canvas?
Missing work is promptly entered into the gradebook (StudentVue) and it is your responsibility to check that and turn in any missing work. If you still have not figured out how to check which assignments are missing, you need to practice navigating StudentVue for homework.
Whose responsibility is it to keep you informed of missing work?
I can earn them by following classroom routines and expectations. Things like starting my bell work right away, coming in quietly, lining up appropriately in the hallway, showing kindness, being helpful to peers, volunteering to share, completing my classwork, etc.
How can I earn Liveschool points?
Voices need to be kept down because there are other teachers in the building. These other teachers work with students one-on-one and these students and teachers need it to be quiet for the work that they do. We should not be bunched up because it makes it more difficult for other students to get to where they need to be quickly and quietly.
What is expected hallway behavior?
I should be working on bell work (or waiting quietly for bell work prompt).
What should you do once your materials are out and your backpack is up?
Before asking anyone else for help, I will re-read the directions/task/question at least 3 times.
What should you do if you don't quite understand a task?
All assignments are posted on Canvas, yes, even ones we do on paper in class. If any worksheets were handed out in class, extra copies of those will be in the purple file organizer on the back table. If it's supposed to be in your notebook, show me when it's done.
How do you find or obtain assignments that you're missing?
All materials should be treated with respect and care. I will use them as they are intended to be used and I will put them back where they belong, making sure all spaces are clean and organized.
How should you handle my materials, clipboards, flex seating, etc?
I will use the bathroom sign and then when I get approval, I will get out my punch card and give it to Ms. Bailey.
How should you ask to go to the bathroom?
First, I'm going to thoroughly check my backpack for one! Then, I will write my name on the board to BORROW one from Ms. Bailey if I still can't find one. At the end of class, I will return it to the pencil bucket and erase my name.
What should you do if you need a pencil?
"Ask 3 before me", I will ask my peers at my table group for help and will not seek help from Ms. Bailey until I've asked at least 3 peers.
You've re-read the directions at least 3 times but maybe you're still confused, what should you do?
I may have not put my name on my paper. No names will be thrown away if not claimed by the end of the week.
You have a missing assignment but you're sure you did it, what might be the reason it's missing?
They will vary depending on the situation but what you can expect from me: loss of live school points, working solo instead of in groups, sitting at the side table away from peers, reflection sheet with a lunch detention and/or after school detention.
