A writer is presenting this when they make a claim, include reasons with evidence, and address the other side of the topic.

This person may or may not be the author, but they are definitely "saying" the poem to you

Different from point of view, this is the way a character or writer might see something-their ideas or beliefs about a topic or event.

Can't have it without a root word, but when placed at the end it can change the meaning or word type.

This is the least important sentence in the essay, but don't be fooled by its placement-it comes first!

An author might show this when writing about a topic, clearly, they are favoring one side.

This may teach you a lesson about life or it simply a message the author wants you to know.

Just like in poetry, the author wants to show you this through the story to help you in life.
