Kyara invited Marla to her house to work on their school project. Although they were friends, Kyara had no idea what would happen during a visit from Marla. To begin, it was raining and Marla neither bothered to take her boots off nor wiped them on the doormat. Then Marla devoured a bag of potato chips on Kyara's white bed sheets without asking. Marla is a messy eater, so potato chip crumbs got all over the sheets. Kyara tried to be polite and ignore Marla's sloppy behavior, but then Marla threw her empty chip bag onto the floor. Offended, Kyara pretended that she was ill and asked Marla to go home.

The next day Kyara asked the teacher if she could work by herself.

After explaining her situation the teacher allowed Kyara to work alone. Marla would have finished the assignment by herself, but she spilled her water all over the assignment.
