The drying rack

1

Where can I find a pencil?

In the dispenser

1

What should I do if I have something to say while Mrs. Flater, or someone else, is talking to the class?

Raise my hand.

1

What happens if we start a new project before I finish mine?

I start the new project and finish mine in my free time. Mrs. Flater plans how long a project should take, and if I talk too much or am absent, I might get behind and run out of time.

1

What is a Table Captain's job (new responsibilities this year)?

To answer repeated questions that Mrs. Flater has already answered, and get supplies out (not always the one to take care of them).

2

Where can I put my artwork at the end of class if it's dry?

In my folder

2

Where can I find my sketchbook?

On the counter

2

Should I get up and sharpen my pencil while Mrs. Flater is giving directions or explaining something?

No. I should patiently wait until she's done to trade it for a new one, unless I actually NEED my pencil for the activity at the time.

2

When it's work time, should our neighboring classes be able to hear us?

No, if we are able to talk while we work, we need to keep our voices at a table talk level.

2

Who is responsible for overseeing the floor cleanup?

Floor Supervisor. Everyone cleans, but the Floor Supervisor double-checks to make sure nothing is missed.

3

Where can I find MY art folder?

In the filing cabinet

3

Where can I find markers, crayons, and colored pencils?

in the silver cart

3

Should I get up and get a tissue while Mrs. Flater is talking?

Yes, I can get a tissue to quietly clean my nose without distracting the class while she's talking. Then I can sanitize my hands before returning to my seat.

3

What rewards are there for good behavior?

Heart tickets and coupons.

3

What does the Table Evaluator do?

Everyone helps clean the tables, but the Table Evaluator checks that they are clear and clean before we leave.

4

Where do I put my name?

On the back at the bottom right, unless Mrs. Flater says otherwise.

4

Where can I find a messy mat?

In the drawer in the back of the room.

4

If I am going to throw up, should I try to wait until Mrs. Flater is done talking?

No. I should go straight to the nearest trash can.

4

What if I don't want to do the project we are assigned?

I am expected to do my best work and try hard, even if I don't like the project. If I have a good attitude, it will help others to have a good attitude, and we will all have a better class together. If I rush through my work and don't try my best, I might have to start over.

4

What does the Supply Checker do?

Tables will take care of supplies, but the Supply Checker will make sure the silver cart is organized with everything put in it's place.

5

What information do I put on my artwork other than my name?

My class code

5

Where can I find paper?

On the back counter

5

What should I do if I have something to say and Mrs. Flater doesn't call on me?

Save my comment for later. Sometimes we will run out of time for everyone to share.

5

What happens if our class doesn't respect Mrs. Flater, each other, or the time limits we have?

There are consequences for not staying on task or for rude behavior. One example is swapping out our project for something less interesting.

5

What does the Teacher Assistant do?

Help pass out papers, get copies, and sharpen Pencils.
