Silently cross your fingers and raise your hand; wait for Mrs. Gibson to nod at you and let you know when.
When can you use the restroom?
During independent work time, not teacher instruction time.
How can you earn dojo points?
Working quietly, quiet transitions, helping others.
How do you show that you have an emergency?
raise your hand quietly and let me know it's an emergency or come see me.
What can you do if you have a question?
raise your hand quietly and wait for Mrs. Gibson to call on you
When can you sharpen your pencil?
Never, we hold up the pencil sign and wait to get a nod from Mrs. Gibson. Then we get a new pencil from the sharp container and leave our dull pencil in the dull container.
What should you be doing when you are finished with an assignment?
First, make sure that you have passed your iReady lessons.
Then you may go on Prodigy, Nitro Type, or read silently.
What do you do when you hear the doorbell?
You need to immediately freeze, look up front, and quietly wait for instructions.
What are the iReady expectations?
Two lessons passed on both math and reading. All 4 days of fluency flight completed.
Do we shout out when we know the answer to a question?
No, we raise our hand a wait to be called on.
What do you need to do during a math lesson?
Get all materials out and follow along. Participation is a must.
What are the end of class expectations before leaving class?
1. Wait for your table to be called to plug in chromebooks
2. Check folder to see if any papers need to go home.
3. Throw away trash and stack your chair
4. Stand SILENTLY behind your desk.
I'm working independently and I am stuck on a question. How do I get help?
Take a clip from the "waiting room" and wait until it is your turn. Try the next question until Mrs. Gibson can get to you.
What should you do if someone is bothering you?
kindly ask them to stop and move away
What should you do if a classmate is talking?
be quiet and listen to them, make sure not to interrupt
What should you do when you FIRST enter the classroom?
Get out supplies and begin on morning work. Put our lunchbox in the bin.
What does partner work look like?
Working together, on the same question, and NOT copying someone's work.
What are the consequences if I misbehave in class?
1. warning
2. dojo point taken away
3. walking laps at recess
4. Parent/guardian contact
What MUST you do before you can get on games like Prodigy, iReady learning games, Epic, or Nitro Type?
You must have your iReady lessons passed for the week.
How do you ask for a drink of water?
Hold up the water symbol and wait for Mrs. Gibson to nod at you.
