What is the first thing you are to do when entering the classroom?
Greet Mrs. Farah, sit down and start your Bell Ringer QUIETLY.
Is late work accepted? Late journals? Late classwork? Late papers? Late projects?
No. I will be flexible the first couple of weeks as we all get acclimated. After 8/21 I will not accept late work unless you are absent.

Independent reading QUIETLY for 10 minutes. AKA Catch up on reading/journals if needed.
If you are sick or traveling and you will be absent, what are you supposed to do?
Email Mrs. Hossain to get your assigned work for that day.

Give an example of what you are not supposed to do while on Google Meet?
Acceptable answers: 1. Surf the web 2. search/share memes. 3. Work on other assignments in ELA class.
What comes after independent reading?
Class lecture. Mrs. Hossain will teach you the lesson via google meet. You will have independent/group work to complete after the lesson.
How many days do you have to make up classwork if absent?
1 day per day you are absent. Example: If you are absent 1 day, you get 1 day to complete the assignment.
How often does Mrs. Hossain check her email?
At least twice a day.

Raise your hand so that Mrs. Hossain can see. Do not interrupt the class by calling out on Google Meet.
Is the independent/group work completed during lecture graded?
Yes, as participation points.
Will your absent work be accepted if you submit it after the time allotted for absentee work?
No. If you are absent 1 day, and are given 1 extra day to complete it but submit it on day 2 it is considered late work and will not be accepted.

How are you to behave in the classroom while on Google Meet?
Abide by the classroom expectations in the Syllabus and as established by the in-classroom teacher.
If we are done the lecture early, what are you permitted to do until you are dismissed?
You are permitted to start your reading homework QUIETLY. Side conversations are not permitted.
If you forget to email me the day you will be absent, when should you email me?
The day following your absence. If you are sick and out on Monday, you can email me on Monday or Tuesday. If you come back to school Tuesday and email me on Wednesday for Monday's make up work, it will not be accepted. You need to email in a timely fashion.
What are Mrs. Hossain's Office Hours?
Monday & Wednesday 4pm-5pm & Sunday 3pm-4pm. Subject to change. She will email you if that changes.
