Raise your hand quietly and wait to be called on.

What do you do first when you enter the classroom?
Head to your seat quietly and wait for instructions.
How many hands do you hold a chromebook with?
TWO! Always two.
When you are working on an assignment, can you talk to your neighbor?
Yes! As long as you are working, not distracting anyone, and I am not talking.
Where should you be during lessons & classwork?
In your seat unless Mrs. Meekma has given you permission to sit somewhere else in the classroom.
How do we line up to leave the room?
Wait until your group is dismissed, then line up quietly.
Who is responsible for taking good care of your chromebook?
YOU are!
What are 2 things we can do to show respect for our classmates?
Keep our hands to ourselves.
Listen when they are talking.
Help if they need it.
Be kind.
Share & take turns.
What do you do if you finish your work early?
You can do any activity Mrs. Meekma has given the class permission to do. If you are not sure, just ask.
When can you use the bathroom?
When you ask, as long as it isn't during lesson instructions.
Why shouldn't you eat or drink around your chromebook?
Crumbs and liquid can get inside your chromebook and cause it to not work right. Sticky trackpads don't work well, either.
Do we give up when we can't figure something out?
NO! Computer Science is all about trying again and again when we can't figure something out.
Why is it important to stay on the assignments or websites you have been instructed to stay on?
To keep you away from inappropriate things and to protect your device from viruses.
What do you do if you need help while you are working?
Ask a friend or two if they can help you. If they can't, then raise your hand and ask Mrs. Meekma. If it is an emergency, let Mrs. Meekma know right away!
What should you do with your chromebook every night when you are home?
Plug it in and charge it!!
Is shouting out while others are talking ever ok?
No!
Can you play online games during learning time?
No! You can only go on approved activities when your work is done and you have asked permission.
At the end of class, when your group is dismissed, what are the three steps you take before you line up?
Stand up.
Push in your chair.
Then pick up your chromebook with two hands.
Why should you never carry your chromebook by the screen, slam it closed, or push or pull on the screen?
The screen is very thin and flexible and these things can cause it to shatter.
