By raising you hand quietly.
What do you do when you get in class?
Go quietly to your assigned seat and wait for Mrs. Walters or Mrs. Rosa to give directions.
What do you when you walk to and from your classroom and Mrs. Walters room?
You walk in a quietly in a straight line.
Is it okay to get out of my seat and wander around the room?
No, if you need something raise your hand and ask.
Why should we NOT talk when our friends are reading or answering a question?
Every VOICE MATTERS. We all have things to share and we all deserve to be heard!
What do you do to help others?
You encourage others by saying positive things. No put downs!
How do you ask for help in class?
Raise your hand and wait for the teacher quietly.
When the bell rings during class, what do you do?
You must freeze, turn voices off and put your eyes on the teacher.
How do I earn dojo points?
Do my work, stay focused, work as a team with my classmates.
If a guest comes in the classroom to greet us, what should we do?
How do students respect other students properties?
By not touching them or destroying them. Ask to use first before taking anything.
When can I use the bathroom?
You may go during class if the teacher says it is an ok time.
What do I do with iPad very night?
Charge it!!
What day do you bring your spelling/reading folder back to school?
MONDAY
Where do you go for a fire drill?
To our spot on the playground. We must be silent.
What do you do if you need to use the restroom?
Raise your hand and ask.
What do I do if my pencil needs sharpened or broke?
I raise my pencil in the air and the teacher gives me a new one.
What should I do with my homework folder?
Take it home. Complete spelling words, read book, answer questions, write weekend news. Have your parents sign the paper.
How can you help others around the school?
By picking up trash
Holding doors open for others
Pushing in a friend's chair
By making sure everyone has someone to play with at recess
What does a good working group look like?
They are sharing, helping, and encouraging others and getting your work or project done.
How can you respect others?
By listening to them, taking turns sharing, and using appropriate language and gestures.
How do students line up?
Quietly, no running, no pushing or cutting in line.
What can I do instead of whining or complaining?
Think of the LLAMA.....say to yourself this is hard but I CAN figure it out, I don't the answer but I CAN try my best.
What would make Mrs. Walters very happy?
If all students were trying their best at all times, working hard, being kind and respectful and having fun learning.
