This is the office you can go to talk to a therapist when you feel stressed about school or any other aspect of your life and services are free.
Hostos Counseling Center -- C Building, 3rd floor (on the same side of the hallway as the cafeteria--some of the therapists' offices are on the other side of the hallway (on the same side as the gymnasium).
This is the best place to go if you arrive at a class on the first day and no one is there.
The Registrar's Office -- in the D Building on the 2nd floor.
This is the last day you can drop classes to get 100% of your tuition refunded.
Thursday, August 24th.
This is where you go to see your class schedule.

The various departments and offices at Hostos will always email you to your personal gmail account--true or false?
False--they will often use your Hostos email address, so you need to check both your personal and Hostos email address each day.
This is the office you go to for support and accommodations if you have a learning challenge or learning disability and need assistive technology and/or extra time on tests.
ARC -- Accessibility Resource Center in the D Building on the first floor.
If you need to talk to one of your class professors, when can you do so?
During your professor's office hours, or possibly before or after class; also by email.
This is the last day you can drop classes to get 75% of your tuition refunded.
Thursday, August 31st
This is where you go to find the course syllabus and instructor information for your class.
What is BlackBoard (or sometimes Google Classroom if the professor doesn't use BlackBoard).
Note: BlackBoard uses the same user name and password as CUNYfirst.

This is where you go when you need resume help, an outfit for a job interview, or help finding a job while you're in school or even after you graduate from Hostos.
Career Services -- in the D Building on the 2nd floor.
This is the best place to go if you have a question about when you are going to get your refund check from school or want to be considered for a work study job on campus.
The Financial Aid Office -- D Building in the basement.
This is the last day you can drop classes to get 50% of your tuition refunded.
Thursday, September 7th
This is the average number of credits a single course is worth.
3 credits
If you don't have a laptop, tablet, or desktop of your own, you can use the Hostos computer lab in this building on this floor.
C Building, 5th Floor -- Room 525
This is where you go if you need a snack during the day at school or if you want to go to the food pantry to bring home food for you and your family.
The One Stop Office -- in the D Building on the first floor.
This is the best place to go if you want to relieve stress by working out on campus.
The weight room or the treadmill/bike room in the C Building on the first floor.
This is what will happen if you decide you are not going to take any classes or the same number of classes you registered for and don't go into CUNYfirst to drop the classes you no longer wish to take.
You will have to pay the $2600 for classes any way even though you never attended the class.
These are the two places you can go to see the classes required for your major.

HALC -- Hostos Academic Learning Center in the C Building on the 5th floor (across the hall from the computer lab).
This is what you should do when college gets hard and you feel like you want to quit.
