What is MONOLOGUE?

The left side of the stage from actor's point of view. Same as "house right."

Written words that make up a show, including spoken words, stage directions, and lyrics; can also refer to the book containing those words
What is SCRIPT?
Person who writes lyrics of a musical, works with composer to create songs.
What is LYRICIST?
Person responsible for keeping rehearsals and performances orderly and on schedule
What is STAGE MANAGER?
A type of dramatic writing meant to be performed live on a stage; a musical is one kind of these.
What is PLAY?
The right side of the stage from the actor's point of view, which is the same as "house left"
What is STAGE RIGHT?
To perform the dialogue of a scene as quickly as possible; helps actors memorize their lines and adds energy to the scene's pacing.

Person in charge of teaching songs to the cast and orchestra and maintaining quality of performed score; may also conduct live orchestra during performances
