What do all the lovers discuss in the beginning of Act V?

They discuss how unlikely it is that the events
actually happened as Hermia, Lysander, Helena and Demetrius say they did...but it also seems highly unlikely that they could all make up something so
wild and stick to their story all together. A dream seems unlikely as well, since they all experienced it together

300

What is implausible about Theseus’s explanation for the lovers’ being in the woods?

Theseus thinks that they were up early to celebrate May Day. But the timing is all wrong for May Day. The timing is off in this scene because they wake up on
The Wedding Day (Theseus and Hippolyta) but it doesn’t seem like 4 days have passed

400

What reconciliation is reached, and why is Egeus upset?

Theseus decides that since the two couples have declared their love for each other that it no longer makes sense to force Hermia to marry Demetrius. He’s in a loving mood, so instead he decides they should all get married. That day. At his wedding. A little impulsive, no?

What are the sources for humor in the play-within-the-play put on by The Mechanicals?

The actors are horrible. They explain everything to the audience. The audience is commenting, as sometimes happens during a performance, and at times, the actors stop and answer their questions, totally forgetting that they’re on stage to perform a play!

At one point, the actor playing “moonlight” yells at the audience even!

400

What does Bottom have done with this "dream experience"?

He  decides that he should ask Peter Quince
to turn it into a song that he can sing at the end of their performance of Pyramus & Thisbe at the royal wedding, right after Thisbe dies.

400

What is the purpose of an apology at the end of a comedy?

Shakespeare apologizes at the end of the play through Puck in case anyone was offended by his representation of people in their society. By letting them know that it was all in good fun, and he was just joking, he’s hoping that no one takes his story/play too seriously. Which is interesting because he *just* had a character explain why an apology isn’t necessary at the end of a play.

What is Mr. Breckles Middle Name?

Frederick

500

What do the fairies say about the three couples at the end of the play?

and obedient.
