A deaf composer who had absolutely 0 rizz. He was our very first composer of the month.
Who is Beethoven?
The instruments we have in the back. These TYPICALLY have 88 keys and are often argued over whether they are a string instrument or a percussion instrument.
What is a piano?
A project we just did very recently. You conducted research on countries your families came from and then researched instruments from those countries.

Mr. Murray's twin brother.

These people write the music that orchestrations play.
What is a composer?
Our composer in October. The one composer Mr. Murray came SUPER close to meeting. He was responsible for a lot of the music we know in Disney movies.
Who is Alan Menken?
This instrument is a smaller form of the guitar with only 4 strings.
What is a ukulele?
An online DAW (recording studio) where you used loops (pre-recorded audio) to create your own beats.
What was Soundtrap?
This is Mr. Murray's favorite game of all time. You play as a group of teenagers with the ability to go into the minds of corrupt individuals. Think of this game as a more "mature" pokemon.

These people use music to help patients with physical therapy, or use music to invoke happier emotions or thoughts.

A term often given to groups of instruments. There are four of these: Woodwinds, Brass, Strings, and Percussion
What are instrument families?
An activity we did on our chromebooks. You learned about the history of hip-hop and could not leave the room until you got to a specific point.

Who did Mr. Murray go to High School with? They actually had his mother for chemistry!
Who is Coach B?
These people help in the music recording process. They provide assistance and advice while also being responsible for the funding of everything.
What is a music producer?
Often deemed "The King of Ragtime". He is most well known for his piece, "The Entertainer".
Who is Scott Joplin?
This how long a tuba would be if you unfolded it into one long tube.
What is a school bus?
A website where you can create beatboxing beats by clicking on different people. Each person had a different sound to them.

A school in Westchester County, near the White Plains area. Mr. Murray went to this school for 5 years to get his bachelors AND masters degree.

The study of music from various cultures.
What is ethnomusicology?
An incredibly famous jazz composer. He got his iconic nickname from how well mannered he was, almost as if he was royalty. His manners were hammered into his head by his mother.
