How many Legacy Tests does MyRisk combine?

3 Tests

Integrated BRACAnalysis

Integrated Colaris

Integrated ColarisAP

100

How is this test different from Integrated BRACAnalysis?

This is FDA approved and HCP's can only prescribe certain PARP Inhibitors (medications) based on these results.

There is a slight difference in the BART portion of the testing.

100

What is the most common, first test, for Prostate cancer?

PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) testing.

100

Is EndoPredict somatic or germline testing?

Somatic

100

What does HRD stand for?

Homologous recombination deficiency - your cell can't repair double-strand breaks in DNA using HRR.

200

How many genes did MyRisk start out testing and how many genes are included today?

24 to start and 48 to date

200

How many CDx tests does Myriad offer?

2

BRACAnalysis CDx

MyChoice CDx

200

What are some of the reasons PSA levels might be higher?

Age, UTI, Sexual Activity, Medications or Supplements, Riding a Bike, Prostate Cancer

200

Who is eligible for EndoPredict testing?

Patients with ER+, HER2-, early stage breast cancer.

No cancer in lymph nodes or only in 1-3 lymph nodes

200

What are PARP Inhibitors?

Typically oral medication that blocks your DNA repair genes (if you have a cancer causing mutation in your "repair" tool (gne) you don't want your cell to use this tool!

300

Why does the TRF list 3 different MyRisk tests and how are they different in the lab?

The tests are named based on the legacy tests - for the purpose of criteria review for insurance approval.

In the lab they aren't different at all - even MyRisk Update - it is all the same 48 genes.

300

What are the PARP Inhibitor/Medications that can be prescribed based on the results of this test?

Lynparza, Talzenna, Zejula

300

What is a Gleason Score and why is it problematic?

This is a score grade given based on the appearance of the cells.  This test is largely subjective - not all pathologists agree on what they see (to give a grade).

300

How fast does the patient get their results?

Within 7 days.

300

MyChoice tests BRAC 1/2 Genes - how is it different from Integrated BRACAnalysis?

It tests on a tumor level - somatic or germline, don't care about the source of the mutation - just if the pt has the mutation.

400

What year was MyRisk launched?

2013

400

What does CDx mean?

Companion diagnostic.  These are medical devices or tests that help determine if a patient is a good candidate for a specific drug or therapy.

400

Who is eligible for Prolaris testing?

Any untreated patient diagnosed with localized prostate cancer.

400

What questions does EndoPredict answer?

3 Questions:

How will the cancer potentially respond to chemotherpay?

Can they safely stop hormone treatement at 5 years?

What is the chance of the cancer coming back at a distant metastasis within 10 years?

400

What are the 3 types of Genomic Instability Status (GIS) that are looked at in MyChoice testing?

LOH (loss of heterozygosity)
TAI (Telomeric Allelic Imbalance)
LST (Large-Scare State Transitions).

*by using a combination of these methods, MyChoice CDx can identify 34% more tumors with HRD than LOH testing alone.

500

Is MyRisk testing somatic or germline testing?

Germline - these mutations are in your germ cells and therefore can be passed on to offspring.

500

What was the first cancer that was covered under the FDA label for this test and what cancers are now included?

Ovarian cancer was originally the only cancer covered.

Today the FDA label for this test covers Breast, Ovarian, Pancreatic, and Prostate cancers.

500

What do you learn from Prolaris testing?

How aggressive your cancer is and how much treatment is needed.

Helps identify which men would benefit for hormone thereaphy and who can skip it.

Risk of dying from prostate cancer in the next 10 years

Understand the risk of the cancer spreading outside of the prostate.

500

How many genes does EndoPredict test?

11 genes

500

How often is a patient with ovarian cancer HRD+?

1 in 2 patients or 50% of the time.
