He rescued Brynhild, a Valkyrie, from a ring of fire.
Sigurd
She was a powerful magician and gave Jason charms to use during the quest of the golden fleece. Cupid made her fall in love with him and later she killed his wife with a most lovely robe.
Medea
Half bull, half human, the son of King Minos of Crete. It lived in the Labyrinth made by Daedalus. Every nine years fourteen young Athenians were sacrificed to it.
the Minotaur
They were Paris and Hector. Aphrodite, Ares, Apollo, and Artemis

Great hunter was placed in the sky as a constellation
Orion
Loki persuaded this person's blind brother, Hoder, to throw a twig of mistletoe at him. The poisonous twig pierced his heart and killed him.
Balder
the daughters of Harmony and Ares. They were fierce warriors. Lived on the island of Themiscrya.
the Amazons
She said she would marry the man who could beat her in a foot race
Atalanta
Odysseus had built this then hid inside it. The Trojans took it into the city. That night the Greeks snuck out of it and massacred the Trojans.
Huge Wooden Horse
People believed he healed the sick. Even healed the dead back to life.
Aesculapius
The name means “Choosers of the Slain.” They waited on the tables of the gods in Asgard. They also went to the battlefield with Odin and decided who would live and die. They carried the dead to Valhalla, the Hall of the Slain.
the Valkyries
Aphrodite and Cupid shot Zeus with an arrow and made him fall in love with this woman. He changed into a bull and carried her away from her home to the island of Crete.
Europa
His name was either Melanion or Hippomenes. Aphrodite gave him these items to help win the foot race.
three golden apples
The prophetess dragged out of Athena’s temple in Troy. Athena was furious at this sacrilege and asked Poseidon to help her take revenge on the Greeks.
Cassandra
He was kind and wise. He trained many of the sons of heroes, including Achilles

Days of the week were named after Norse gods
The gods gave her a box full of harmful things, and told her not to open it. She was curious and lifted the lid. All of the troubles of the world flew out. Hope also came out of the box.
Pandora
Name Three of Hercules' Twelve Labors
1) He killed the lion of Nemea by choking it.
2) He killed the nine-headed Hydra.
3) He brought back alive a stag with golden horns. 4) He captured a great boar.
5) He cleaned the very dirty Augean stables by diverting two rivers and making them flood the stables.
6) He shot the birds that plagued the people of Stymphalus.
7) He took a bull that belonged to Minos of Crete.
8) He killed King Diomedes, and took his man-eating mare.
9) He stole the girdle of Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons. He killed her in the process.
10) He brought back the cattle of Geryon.
11) He brought back the Golden Apples of the Hesperides. He held the vault of heaven for Atlas so that Atlas could find the apples for him. Then he tricked Atlas into taking the heavens back onto his own shoulders.
12) He went to the underworld and freed Theseus from the Chair of Forgetfulness.
How Poseidon helped Athena
He caused a great tempest in the sea. The Greek fleet was scattered, and many men drowned. Odysseus remained alive, but was shipwrecked.
They were the seven daughters of Atlas pursued by a great hunter. Zeus rescued them by placing them in the sky.
the Pleiades
He was aloof and solemn. He was always searching for more wisdom. He was responsible for postponing the day of doom. He often suffered in order to receive more knowledge
