Egypt's defining geological feature. The entire Egyptian civilization existed within a few miles of this great river. Egyptian Mythology and religion were highly influenced by the behavior of this river. The Nile would rise at certain times of the year causing the land to flood and create fertile grounds for farming. However, if the land flooded too much, or too little, the Egyptians interpreted that as the gods not being happy with them. They would then pray to the gods or make offerings for things to return to normal.

Why do archaeologists, scientists and scholars now believe that the pyramids were not built by Hebrew slave labor?
What are: 1) Those who died during construction were bestowed the honor of being buried in the tombs near the sacred pyramids of their pharaohs. Their proximity to the pyramids and the manner of burial in preparation for the afterlife backs this theory. No way would they have been buried so honorably if they were slaves. 2) The timeline doesn't match. While it is mentioned in Exodus that Ramses used Hebrew slaves for backbreaking labor, it was to work on his city, but not on the pyramids. According to Amihai Mazar, professor at the Institute of Archaeology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, "no Jews built the pyramids because Jews didn't exist at the period when the pyramids were built."

What was the "Curse of the Pharaohs", and why is largely disproven/disproved?
What is......His tomb was discovered in 1922 by archaeologists Howard Carter and George Herbert. For many years, rumors of a "Curse of the Pharaohs" persisted, emphasizing the early death of some of those who had entered the tomb. A study showed that of the 58 people who were present when the tomb and sarcophagus were opened, only eight died within a dozen years. All the others were still alive, including Howard Carter, who died of lymphoma in 1939 at the age of 64.[54][55] The last survivor, American archaeologist J.O. Kinnaman, died in 1961, a full 39 years after the event.

What is: Ramps in all shapes and forms have been drawn, but so far no really good explanation, how this great feat was done has been found. Calculations show that a stone weighting 2.5 tons had to be moved up the pyramid of Khufu every 1 to 2 minutes, so the pyramid could be finished in a maximum of 20 years. Rope and pully systems are also suggested.
