What are the Temporalis and Masseter?
Elevation and depression of the scapula
What is the Trapezius?
extension of the wrist and fingers; innervated by the radial nerve
extensor digitorum
Movement at posterior hip; major extensor of the thigh
What is Gluteus Maximus?
Dorsiflexion of the foot; innervated by common fibular nerve
What is Tibialis Anterior?
Support pelvic organs and regulate urination and defecation
What are the pelvic floor muscles?
Critical for raising the arm above the head; protraction and upward rotation of scapula
What is Serratus Anterior?
Performs extension of forearm at the hinge joints; innervated by radial nerve
What is triceps brachii?
provides lateral stability through IT band; "locks" knee in extension
What is the Tensor fascia latae?
Deep to the gastrocnemius
What is the Soleus?
Deep muscle spanning the entire abdomen
What is Transverse abdomen?
Muscles deep to the trapezius that retract the scapula.
What are rhomboids?
Moves the 5th digit; innervated by the ulnar nerve
What is the hypothenar group?
Hamstring muscle; flexion of the leg at the knee joint on the LATERAL side
What is Biceps femoris?
All contribute to plantarflexion of the ankle; innervated by tibial nerve
Prime mover of back extension; lateral rotation and bending of the vertebral column
What is erector spinae?
Rotator cuff muscle that performs Abduction of humerus; innervated by the axillary nerve
What is the supraspinatus?
Performs flexion at the hinge joints; Innervated by the musculotaneous nerve
What is biceps brachii?
Hip flexor; innervated by the femoral nerve
What is iliopsoas?
Extension of ONLY the great toe.
What is extensor hallicus longus?
Prime mover of inspiration; innervated by the phrenic nerve
What is the diaphragm?

finger flexion in the anterior compartment of forearm; innervated by median and ulnar nerves
What are the flexor digitorums?
Flex leg at knee; flex and laterally rotate thigh at hip
What is Sartorius?
Innervated by the tibial nerve; Connect to the Calcaneal tendon
What is Gastrocnemius?
