What is person vs person?

A character debating whether to apply for an exciting, challenging new job or to "play it safe" by continuing to live their boring current life

Parts of the conflict in which the tension decreases, less action and drama
What are falling actions?
A main character who almost always does good things
What is a hero?
A main character with a goal, usually the focus of the story
What is a protagonist?
A term for an elderly male character who usually teaches things to a younger main character
What is a wise old man?
A character trying to survive after becoming lost in the desert
What is person vs nature?
The highest point of action in a story
What is the climax?
A character who exists mostly to help a main character
What is a sidekick?
A main character who tries to stop another main character from achieving their goals
What is an antagonist?
A primary character who is complicated and does neither good nor evil things most of the time
What is an anti-hero?
Harry Potter fighting against the Ministry of Magic after Voldemort has taken it over
What is person vs society?
Background information at the beginning of the story
What is introduction or exposition?
A character who primarily exists to make the audience laugh
What is comic relief?
Characters who have changed in noticeable ways since the beginning of the story
What are dynamic characters?
The place where the story takes place
What is the setting?
A character running away from a ghost, magical being, ect
What is person vs supernatural?
The moment in which a conflict begins
What is the inciting incident?
An old-fashioned term for a woman who needs to be saved
What is a damsel in distress?
Characters who haven't changed in any significant way since the beginning of the story
What are static characters?
A character who is very different from another character, and their differences are made obvious by the story
