Was a great center for the Pueblo people. Puebloans of different tribes would come here to trade and perform religious ceremonies. In the 1300s it was abandoned. It was probably abandoned because of drought but other things like invaders could have also been a problem. Chaco probably traded with other Native Americans from as far away as Guatemala because they have found parrots buried in Chaco.

 A group of different smaller tribes that settled around the Southwestern U.S. and lived a mostly nomadic lifestyle until they were forced to settle down by the U.S. army. The Apache were known for being great warriors. They often fought with Navajo and Pueblo people but at times they would trade and work together.
