NECA's Mascot
Jaguars
An appropriate time to use your cell phone
When the cell phone sign is on green and your teacher says you can use your cell phone freely
When you are at NECA you are expected to follow these expectations
Respect
Ownership
Attitude
Responsibility
Safety
The two R's is ROARS
Respect and Responsibility
The number of warnings you get before you will be asked to turn in your phone for the class period
Two
This is a place you are expected to go if you have a problem and need to find a solution
Solutions
The O in ROARS
Ownership
This happens if you decide not to turn in your phone for the class period after the two warnings
You will lose your phone for the following day
The expectation is you get one of these if you need to leave class for any reason
An example of Safety
What is being drug and alcohol free, keeping hand to myself, respecting the space and property of others, or peacefully seeking nonviolent solutions.
This happens if you are in the hallway on the phone without your teacher's permission
You will lose your phone for the following two days
Talk with respect, listen with respect, respect the talking piece, and put phones away
The difference between Solutions and Canopy
What is solutions is the space where we problem-solve ways to help you return to class.
What is canopy is out of the wing after multiple attempts of trying to find a solution or a major offense.
This will happen if you refuse to turn in your phone after you have lost your phone privileges for the day
You will not be able to enter the NECA community until you turn it in
If a conflict occurs at NECA the expectation is the people involve will participate in what?
Restorative practices (circle, chat, or reviewing restorative questions with staff individually)
