What is Flag Ceremony
I will be absent. I need to request a substitute teacher and request PTO.
All teachers use in class with students as one behavior management program. Provides opportunities for students to turn their behavior around.
1. Warning
2. Student moved to the back of the class for 5 minutes or loses 5 minutes of recess.
3. Student moved to the back of the class for 10 minutes or loses 10 minutes of recess.
4. Front office referral.

What are the 5 Steps of Discipline
Who is Tamela Harris
Every teacher is required to do 2- 30-minute sessions a week. Under normal circumstances, teachers will work with each other's students throughout their grade level, and can hold sessions before school and after school. Currently, teachers may only do after school sessions with his/her own students.
What is tutoring
Entered in Powerschool every morning as soon as Flag Ceremony is over and the school day officially starts.
Attendance and Lunch Count
Send white copy with student and keep yellow copy for your records. Provide as many details as possible. Don't forget to include your suggestions or recommendations on next steps for students

Break time while students are at Specials or lunch and recess. Used for grading papers, posting grades, making copies, team meetings, etc.

Everyone must be participating in one of these throughout the year. A list of options will be given to pick from.

What are reasons to send a student to the front office
Vertex employees who are a part of the Academic Department. They manage the Pacing Guides, support the online learning platform by uploading lessons and content to Schoology. There is one for each subject for K-4 and 5-8 content areas.

Mrs. Peck will email to all staff every week by Sunday night. Can also be found on the campus Google Site. Includes announcements, reminders, important info, etc.
