There are thousands, potentially even TENS of THOUSANDS of variations between the early New Testament manuscripts and we have access to NONE of the original copies. Why are these two facts NOT an issue?
1. 99% of the variations are not doctrinally significant (they have nothing to do with our beliefs, doctrine, or theology).
2. The whole point of a copy is to copy. So if we believe that the New Testament scribes felt seriously about copying exactly what they had with them and not altering it (which they were very serious), then we can say that these are GOOD copies!
