SCENARIO: John lives in a 3 bedroom home and attends day program 3 times a week. There are always two staff on shift when he is at home due to the manager working seven days a week. Data shows that whenever John is at home, he attempts or completes elopement 6 out of 7 days a week. It often happens when staff are helping his housemates, cooking dinner, or in the restroom. The HRC met and approved for installation of door alarms on all exit doors of the group home due to John's frequent elopement. You sent out a revision for John's NJISP to include the new restriction. What additional requests should be sent out?
The behaviorist should review the NJISPs for John's housemates and ensure that they also include that a secondary restriction is in place, "There are door alarms on all exit doors of the group home due to a concern with the housemate".
