They both compare 2 unlike things BUT a simile uses like or as in it. A metaphor does NOT use like or as.

3rd person- Uses pronouns like he, she, they, etc.

Come up with a new ending to the story using your own words

compare- tell how things are the SAME

tone- the author's attitude toward the writing.

a stanza is a section of the poem. They are broken up by a space between. They look like mini paragraphs.
What is sequence?
Sequence is the order of things. First, second, third, etc.
what are context clues?
Context clues are clues in some sentences that help you define a word that you don't know.
In an informative essay what goes in one of your body paragraphs?
1. reason
2. evidence from story or research that proves your reason
3. explanation of reason. Why the evidence proves it
4. concluding sentence.

What does it mean to persuade?
Persuade means to convince. IN an essay, it means to get the reader on your side.
What does it mean to summarize?
Summarize means to tell the important details of the story so someone who has never read it before gets the gist of it.
How do I quote a sentence from a story.
In the text it says "This is where the same words from the story word for word go."
