A book about bears that describes the different types of bears, where they live, and what food they eat.

When the author writes in blue, red, or green to make the text stand out

Feature that helps the reader understand the definitions of important words.
What is a glossary.
This sometimes looks like a pie and gives percents of each item
What are graphs.
Words underneath the pictue to describe what it is
What are captions.
A story about a girl who can talk to animals.

When the words are slanted and a litte thinner.

Feature that tell the chapters and what pages they are on.
What is the table of contents.
This tells/shows the location of things or places.

This breaks the text passage down based into information letting you know what each section is about.

This tells where to find specific information and lists each page number that it is mentioned

This list items or names at the top of each column and their information underneath in rows.

This provides quick information next to a dot
