Woodpeckers are birds with a strong bill that peck holes into trees. They do this to search for food, such as insects that may live inside of the tree. They sometimes also create holes to act as a nest and to establish their territory. A Woodpeckers fast rhythmic pecking on the wood also helps them attract a mate.
