What the the three essential agreements that Northview students are expected to meet in all spaces of the building?
Be safe, be respectful, be responsible.
Are blankets and plushies dress code acceptable items to have at school?
No.
How do students walk to the cafeteria for lunch?
In a line with their class.
Where should cellphones, airpods, and headphones be throughout the school day?
In the student's locker.
When is a student considered tardy?
If they have not entered the threshold of the classroom when the final bell rings.
At the start the day prior to classes beginning and at dismissal.
Can students wear tank tops to school?
Yes, but they must be two-fingers wide.
Where do students sit in the cafetorium?
With their advisory at their assigned table.
What happens the first time a student is caught with their cellphone during the school day?
It is confiscated by the staff and a parent/guardian must pick it up from the office.
What happens after students have received 4 and 6 tardies?
Lunch detention.
What is Key 10?
Students may not leave the classroom during the first ten minutes of the class period and the last 10 minutes of the class period.
What will happen in the case of repeated non-compliance with the Northview dress code?
Parents/families will be contacted and if there is a refusal to comply progressive discipline may ensue.
What are students required to bring to lunch each day?
Their student ID.
What happens the second time a student is caught with their cellphone/airpods/bluetooth headphones during the school day?
A parent/guardian must pick the item up from the office and a one-day out of school suspension will be issued.
What should a student do if they did not ride the bus and are tardy to school for the day?
Enter door 1 and get a "late to school" pass.
What are some examples of common language students might hear adults use to enforce hallway expectations?
"walk and talk," "your hands, your body," "Go back 10," "Keep the conversation moving," etc.
Name three prohibitted articles of clothing per the Northview dress code.
Any of the following would work: pajama pants, winter coats, headphones/earbuds, blankets, plushies, strapless shirts, sagging pants, jeans with holes above the three inch inseam, shorts that are shorter than the three inch inseam, hats, hoods, etc.
What does a #1 signal mean in the cafeteria?
Pass- restroom, bookstore, clinic, office, etc.

A parent/guardian must pick the item up from the office and a three day out-of-school suspension will be issued.
What happens after a student has received 12+ tardies?
Voice level 1-2
What will happen if a student is not in compliance with the school's dress code?
They will be asked to change. Either provided with a change of clothes or call home to have a parent/guardian bring them a change of clothes.
What does a #2 signal mean in the cafeteria?
Falcon buck store pass.
What happens if a student refuses to hand over their cellphone/airpods/bluetooth headphones to a staff member?
What happens if a student does not attend their afterschool detention for tardies?
They will be placed in Falcon Focus the following day or may receive an OSS.
