Of course. As long as they are clean and a full shoe (no Crocs, slides, or Birkenstock type shoes) that is fine with me. When your feet are happy, you are happy. Trust!

Again- I would avoid this at all costs. Decatur and surrounding areas are pretty tight knit in my experience. No patient info can be released. I would keep it very broad and give them "I gave meds today!" Or, "I got to follow the wound nurse around and learned SO much" Nothing specific.

Unfortunately, no. This is your time to invest in your education and your future. It is not forever. You will have a few opportunities to go to our conference room and check your phone. But NO cell phones are allowed on the clinical floor.

After you have completed your care for a patient- it is no longer your right to know what care they received after that.

False. ALWAYS ask before using someone as a reference. And also know, your instructors will be truthful when providing references.

From a classmate. I post only highlights of the curriculum and you will miss out on a lot of material if you don't obtain notes from a classmate.

Please do. I will have snacks with me too. It is unreasonable to expect you all to go all day without eating and or drinking. There is no food allowed on the clinical floor however. A break room or conference room is the perfect place to grab a bite or a drink.
I got caught cheating. I am ashamed. What is going to happen now?
According to RCC Academic Integrity Policy- you can be "subject to disciplinary action up to and including failure of a class or suspension/expulsion from the College."
My parents friend told them I cared for them while at clinical. My parents asked me about their care. What should I tell them?
The old trusty "I cannot disclose what I did or did not do during my clinical rotation". That is it. Honestly after you say it so many times to people- they quit asking.

Notify Mrs. Collingwood that you will be late (she worries). Wait outside of the classroom until all other students have completed their exam/quiz. You will then take the quiz in the Testing Center by the end of the day (1700) and accept a 10% automatic deduction of your grade.
How can I prepare for the clinical day?
YAY! Great question! Review head to toe assessments, be sure of what your expectations will be and come prepared with an open mind. Clinical provides an opportunity to bridge what you learn in class to what you will practice like when you are on your own!
This exam is difficult content. I want to get together with classmates and form a study group and share notes and thoughts. Is this ok?
Absolutely! Please do this. Several brains are better than one. Often times students get different things from lectures and benefit from hearing other students understanding!

Think of a nurse or a professional that you look up to. Or that left a mark on your, how did they act? How would you want your family member cared for?
Absolutely no derogatory remarks, foul language, slang terms, etc.
There is a time and place to have fun while learning. But the expectation is to keep if professional!
