What are resident rights?

Sudden changes in baseline vitals with a change in mental status. A "gut feeling" that something is not right, and an obvious decline from the resident's baseline.

A major injury from a fall (bone fracture, joint dislocation, closed head injury with altered mental status.
What is when to call a "Rapid Response?"
Dial 6101
Say clearly "Rapid Response to LTC Rm ______" three (3) times.
Intentional rounding, clear and unobstructed pathways, call light within reach, reorientation as needed, non-skid footwear, wheelchairs and beds in low locked position.
What are some interventions in Policy LTC-018 Falls Prevention Precautions?
All employees which are nurse's aides, activity aides, social workers, nurses, management, and providers.
Who are mandated reporters of abuse?
This medication requires the nurse to check the resident's apical pulse before administering if no irregularities are noted.
What is digoxin?
Gown, gloves, and handwashing for for high contact activities for residents with chronic wounds, feeding tubes, urinary catheters, PICC or central lines, and MDROs. Outlined in Policy LTC-144 Transmission-Based Precaution.

Fall resulting in a major injury - bone fracture, joint dislocation, closed head injury with altered consciousness, subdural hematoma.
