Using fats as a spread on sandwiches; putting butter on bread/rice/pasta; oil to cook meat and vegetables; putting olive oil on pasta; using whole-fat dairy such as cream cheese, yogurt, or milk; including nuts or nut-butters; using fat-containing sauces such as curry sauce, alfredo sauce, etc.

Fat soluble: dissolves in fat, must be eaten with fat in order to be absorbed, extra fat-soluble vitamins are stored in the body

Water soluble: dissolve in water, extra water-soluble vitamins are lost in the urine

Processed foods can help with ED recovery in many ways including being easy to purchase, pack, prepare and plate; easily digestible; very tasty and exciting addition to our meal plan; easy nutrition intake as many are fortified or enriched; many are fun foods or nostalgic foods that are beneficial for creating a healthy relationship with food.
