Typically we start with our friends and family to get some good practice, but I can tell you, we don't build a busines off of them.  They usually want to know 1.  what's their discount?  2.  What are they getting for free?  IF I could show you how to turn one client into 5 clients/ opportunities - would you feel better about not knowing many people?  **Start with friends and family, then teach how to build referrals.  If you are coachable we can teach you new ways

I am so sorry you had that experience.  When was that?   Then you can discuss the options based on when it was and what product(s).  Was it a random sample or she actually bought product, was she working with a consultant?  Since everything has changed so much, is there any reason you would not want to give it another try?  Even on the back of the hand?
