What is the patient stayed in the ED over midnight?
This is the name of the request that we should see on the timeline or in other orders indicating that the ED Provider wants the patient to be admitted to the hospital.

After everything has been checked out and the encounter is okay, and the green checkmark appears, this is the button that sends the encounter off for processing.

This tab is helpful to see who is the ED provider and who is the admitting provider, by looking at the ED provider note and the H&P.
What is All Notes?
These are the words in the ED timeline that will tell us our patient was sent home and give us our accurate stop time.
What is patient discharged?
This is where we can typically find our accurate stop time for our charge, unless the patient stays in the ED over midnight.

This button is used when an encounter has been reviewed, but requires further review from Jessica or when we are waiting on information from another team.
What is defer?
This is the time on the admission order that is considered the most valid to use and will be pulled by Epic for use in the start time of the charge.
What is the last time at the bottom of the order, under results?
This scenario might result in an inappropriate, earlier start time that might result in the quantity of the charge needing to be adjusted.
What is an ED provider writing an admission order?
If a duration is rounded to a quantity that you would not expect it to be, this is the reason.
