What is a Remote Visit?
A remote visit is similar to an in in-office but instead the visit occurs over video with their chosen provider.
At what age can someone utilize Virtual Therapy & Coaching?
Therapy and coaching is virtual only and available for patients 18 years or older.
How long is a typical Live Well Visit?
The total length of the visit is about 30 minutes.
Who qualifies for OM Now?
OM Now is only available for employees, and dependents of all ages including pediatrics, who live outside of our current markets.

Who qualifies for a remote visit?
Both consumer and enterprise patients with a One Medical membership have access to remote visits.
Who is eligible for the coaching and therapy program?
Once an employer sponsors the ONEM membership and purchases virtual Therapy & Coaching for their population then those employees can access Virtual Therapy and Coaching.
What are two Mental Health related topics that ARE NOT typically addressed in a traditional Physical?
Top clinical concerns are anxiety and depression, which are not addressed in standard physicals.
At What Mile radius is OM Now offered to employees?
OM Now is only available for employees who live outside a 25-mile radius of One Medical offices.*
What is unique about OM Kids from a traditional pediatric practice?
In comparison to a traditional pediatric practice, OM Kids have same/next-day access, longer appointments and onsite pediatric trained phlebotomists.
How is a remote visit billed?
A remote visit is billed like a typical, in-office appointment.
What is the difference between therapy and coaching?
Coaching is designed to provide support and tools tailored to each patient and help them build resilience and coping techniques to reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and other behavioral health concerns.
Therapy is for patients requiring more specialized treatment. We offer virtual 1:1 therapy sessions over video with our in-network licensed therapists (psychologists, social workers, family counselors). This allows eligible members to be quickly evaluated for appropriate services and receive ongoing care as often as once a week.
What are the standard processes that take place prior to a Live Well visit?
Before every Live Well, member’s will receive an Action Item in the app to complete a pre-visit survey prior to their Live Well. This survey helps orient the exam by asking about health goals and changes in health history. For some members, we’ll also send additional surveys, like a mood check-in.
What conditions can be addressed via OM Now?
Through OM Now, patients can receive on-demand care via Video Chat or Treat Me Now (in-app messaging based communication) for issues that aren’t life threatening. Some examples of things OM Now can help with include– vomiting, headaches, coughs, back spasms, skin issues, cuts, injuries and eye issues. Does One Medical offer care for children nationwide virtually?
The One Medical virtual medical team can provide care for kids nationwide.
What is the standard process / what happens during a remote visit?
Remote Visits allow members to visit with their primary care provider to get care for any physical or mental health concern — supporting continuity of care without having to wait or leave home. These full length appointments via Zoom on desktop or mobile allow patients to discuss their health concerns.
What percentage of utilization do we see for Virtual Therapy & Coaching?
For the overall program, we typically see that an employer’s utilization is around 10%. While it may seem low it is not because the program isn’t impactful but we find that those with escalated needs are using the services because 80% of behavioral health needs can be addressed in the PCP setting.
How is a Live Well visit billed?
One Medical has structured Live Well so that it meets the criteria for the annual wellness visit that is mandated coverage by the ACA. That means, we can be transparent that the visit is no cost to the patient with extremely limited exceptions.
What are limitations to OM NOW Regarding RX?
We are also unable to prescribe controlled substances, like anabolic steroids or adderall, to OM Now members as these are treatments that require ongoing management that we cannot yet provide.
What is the only market we DO NOT have Pediatrics?
Atlanta is the only market where we don’t have pediatric care due to our HSP relationship.
What are the limitations of remote visits?
The patient must be in the same state as the provider during a remote visit due to provider state licensing requirements.
How does billing work for therapy and coaching?
VT&C is sponsored by the employer at no cost to the employees. There's a one time implementation fee of $5,000 and services are billed monthly either directly to the employer or through claims.
