This type of documentation is used for summarizing student face to face, phone, and Zoom interactions in Salesforce.
What are SOAP notes?
These small, collective student gatherings can be virtual or in person. They are a great way for students to discuss and review information.
What are study groups?
This person will meet with you weekly in a one-on-one meeting to discuss your student pipeline, students at risk, general student trends, and happenings at your site.
Who is your manager (or Director of Academic Success)?
A student asks you for a letter of recommendation
What is check with your manager and your program director? (Some schools have different rules about this.)
This is the one type of student interaction that is conducted through Five9 but does not require SOAP notes.
What is texting?
This is one way to find a student who has been non-responsive to outreach from the Academic Success Coach.
What is looking for the student at the site?
(This could include finding the student after their lab or checking the student lounge)
Since many professors are not physically at the learning sites, this is the best way to meet with them.
What are virtual office hours?
Training & Development runs onboarding and offers some workshops for current ASCs. This other department offers coaching and sessions to help ASCs with their student calls and outreach.
What is QA (or Quality Assurance)?
A student calls and complains about the program

This is where you can download your student pipeline and view upcoming tasks.
What is the Salesforce home page?
When students are expressing concern about understanding course content, this person is the one they should speak to first.
Who is professor or didactic content professor?
This type of reasoning can help students study for nursing exams.
What is critical thinking (or big picture thinking)?
List two ASC competencies that you will use daily (multiple answers accepted).
What is compliance OR personalization OR active listening OR emotional intelligence OR data integrity?
A student says their instructor is not responsive to their emails
What is ask if there is a timeline for email response in the syllabus?
What is ask how long since they have sent the email?
What is ask what other ways the student has to contact the instructor?
After each student conversation, you should do these 3 things in Salesforce.
What are SOAP notes, review the SPSS (change if needed), and set a future task (or check that a future task exists that will fit contact strategy)?
When you text a student who has been non-responsive but is failing a course, this information should not be included in the text message.
What is the student's grade or the fact that they are failing the course? (anything non-FERPA compliant)
Students must take and pass this exam after they complete nursing school in order to be a registered nurse.
What is the NCLEX (or National Council Licensure Examination)?
In conversations with students, Academic Success Coaches should avoid using this type of suggested assurance of success.
What is an implied guarantee?
(Academic Success Coaches can encourage students and recognize their efforts, but they should not offer actual guarantees or implied guarantees.)
