A: December 1st but please don’t wait until then! OGM has a high volume of grants and contacts this year, and if you want funds out in 2020, please submit ASAP.

A: December 11 but we all know how awful it is to spend the time right before holiday break begging consultants for invoices and lists of receipts. Please work with your consultant in late November to get invoices and a detailed list of numbered expenses.
Who is responsible for flagging overdue deliverables & payout
A: You- the grant manager! Please let us know if you foresee any delays or run into issues with the deliverables, but you should be the first line of response for overseeing deliverables.
How can you make sure you don’t forget about a message you need to follow up on over Slack
A: Select the three dots on the message and say “Remind me about this” and select when you want to be reminded

How soon after submitting a deal memo for a contract can you ask a consultant to provide deliverables?
A: At least two weeks!
**Our good friends on the contracts team will send back your contract proposal if it shows you are beginning work before the two week period needed to initiate the contract. Work with a consultant cannot begin until there is a signed agreement, and therefore you cannot have deliverables anywhere near the day you first submitting.
How do you know if there is money being held for your future workstreams?
A: Ask Marina and Kirsten! They have placeholders for unidentified future funding for each KRA, and have planned line items for projects that are in the process of being funded.
How do you mark a personal appointment on your work calendar so your teammates can’t read it?

A: At the same time as presidential approval, after initiation!
At the beginning of the year we set ____ payout targets. What interval of time are we held accountable for hitting our payout targets?
A: Quarterly!
It is very important to get payout out when it is supposed to go out in Atlas. If payout is delayed, the team may be penalized. Please update Marina and Kirsten if you foresee any payout delays!

You are in the final stages of submitting a concept note for a new grant. What is the most important step to make sure there is money in the budget for your grant
A: Copy Kirsten and Marina on the email where you are sending your concept note to your manager for final review before uploading.
If you’re going to be OOO, what are the 2 things you must you do to alert your team/manager to the dates you are out.
1) set your calendar to OOO and
2) Send a calendar invite to your supervisor with time set to free and the title “Name OOO”
