- showing up on time.

- Clapping at the right time.

- NO TALKING DURING THE PERFORMANCE.

- Sitting up and watching intently.

- No snoozing off.

- Don't get up to exit while they are performing.

- Direct the ensemble with expression.

- Show the tempo or speed of the song.

When does the audience know when is the right time to clap? What does the conductor do?

When the conductor relaxes and puts his arms down. 

Don't clap when the conductor is frozen, it may just be a pause in the music. (Don't be a silly goose and be the only one clapping.)
