The tiny air sacs in the lungs that facilitate gas exchange (Oxygen -> Carbon Dioxide.)
What is peristalsis?
The wavelike motion that pushes the bolus of food from the back of your throat into your stomach.
What's special about the pulmonary artery/vein?
1. Pulmonary means lung
2. Deoxygenated/Oxygenated
3. They go directly to the alveoli
What's the difference between cillia and villi?
Cillia are hair-like strucutres that line the trachea and stops dust particles.
Villi are finger-like projections in the small intestine that help absorb nutrients.
This system includes your brain, spinal cord, and nerves. When you touch something hot you take your hand away!
