Kingdom Fungi
Grows up from the ground with a stalk and cone. However, this is not the true fungi. The true fungi lives underground.
What are mushrooms?
This organism is rooted into the ground and usually has hard, woody tissue to support it. Some stand straight and tall with many branches, while others are small and bushy.
What are plants?
These organisms are made of eukaryotic cells. Some are very basic while others are extremely complex. Some are tiny while others are a hundred feet long.
What are animals?
These animals are the biggest in population. Taking up around 75% of all living organisms. They can be found almost everywhere. Some can fly while other burrow underground or build anthills.
What is Arthropoda
These animals usually live in wetlands, swamps, lakes, and moist environments. Their favorite food are bugs, which they catch with their long slimy tongues. You can usually hear them at night if you live by a source of water (except for the ocean)
What are frogs?
Lives in stagnate water. Such as lakes and ponds.
What is aquatic fungi?
Hollow cells arranged end to end to form a tube used to carry water from the roots of other parts.
What is Xylem Vascular Tissue?
These animals have no backbone and make up 99% of all living animals.
What are invertebrates?
These animals have flat, thin, shiny, brown bodies and wings. They love dark places and live in moldy or trashy places and use their antennas to locate food. If you don't want them in your room, don't leave out food, especially sweets.
What are cockroaches?
These animals are covered in hair or fur and have internal fertilization. When the babies are born, the parents or parent looks after the young for a few years or until they are mature enough to take care of themselves.
What are mammals?
Grows on bread and has a blueish-green appearance.
What is bread mold?
These long strings are fibrous, absorb nutrients and water for the plant, and also store food. We sometimes eat them as well.
What are roots?
Body is constructed along a centurial axis that symmetrically divides the animal no matter which direction you cut it.
What is radical symmetry.
These animals have a backbone and are more solidly built than the slugs, insects, and other invertabrates.
What are vertabrates?
This mammal has a pouch on its belly that carries its young around in until they are old enough to fend for themselves. Most can be found in Australia.
What are marsupials?
A fungus infects an oak tree and kills it. This is an example of what relationship?
What is a parasitic relationship?
This allows plants to grow toward whichever the natural light is shining.
what is phototropism?
These animals are long and thin and can not live without a host. It feeds on the host until the host dies.
what are roundworms?
These animals are usually have scaly bodies and live in warm to hot temperatures due to them not being able to control their body temp. They can be tiny or grow to great proportions with giant teeth. Usually lay eggs. Some may look after their young for a certain amount of time, but most don't.
What are coldblooded animals?
These mammals can be found in the ocean and can grow to large proportions. They have horizontal tails and their babies are known as calves.
What are whales?
This fungus has a symbiotic relationship with algae, providing a moist environment.
What is Lichens?
This is a hormone that allows Tropism to occur.
What is auxin?
These animals have a soft, sometimes slimy body, but live in a shell to protect themselves.
What are snails?
These animals can control their body heat. They lay eggs and are covered with feathers. Most of them can fly, but a few are grounded.
What are Aves?
These mammals walk on four legs to begin with, but as they mature, they walk on two legs. They are not as hairy as many of the other mammals, but they are the only mammals capable of speech.
