The skin helps protect your body from infections, keeps germs out, and keeps water in.

Heart, Arteries, Veins, and Capillaries

Bones store minerals and help support your body.

This system helps support your body and is made up of bones, ligaments, and cartilage

Mouth -> esophagus -> stomach -> small intestine -> large intestine
What do veins do?
Veins bring deoxygenated blood from the lungs and body back to the heart.

Urinary System
What are the major parts/organs in the Digestive System?
Small intestine, large intestine, esophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder
What is the pathway of the Urinary System?
Kidneys -> ureters -> bladder -> urethra
What does the liver do?
The liver makes a juice called bile that helps break down large globs of fat into tiny droplets.
What is the function of the gallbladder?
The gallbladder stores bile from the liver and sends it to the small intestine.
This system rids your body of waste and keeps your body's water and salt levels in balance
Excretory System
What are the major parts/organs of the Urinary System?
Kidneys, bladder, urethra, and ureters
Explain how your brain interprets pain/cold/pressure
Ex: The nerve endings in your fingers will detect pain, send that message through nerves to the spinal cord, and it makes it's way to the brain.
What is the function of platelets?
Platelets stop bleeding by sticking together to form clots.
What is the function of the pancreas?
The pancreas makes juices that are released into the small intestine which breaks down fats and proteins into small pieces.
