How long does it take to get an admissions decision from UWM?
What is approximately 2-3 weeks after all application materials have been turned in and accepted. This can vary depending on the time of year.

When do we give tours every week?
What is Monday through Saturday, twice a day. 10am and 1pm Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. 10am and 3pm on Tuesday and Thursday. 10:30 and 1:30pm on Saturdays.

What is the uniform?
What is the office shirt and black pants. No leggings, sweaters must be open at the front so you can see the shirt.

Who is required to live in the residence halls?
What is all traditional incoming freshman. Transfers, returners, and non traditional students are exempt from the requirement.

What do you do with transcripts and admission materials?
What is bring them over to Mellencamp. Do not open transcripts, stamp the envelopes and deliver them to the processing bin. Stamp any stand alone papers and deliver them to be scanned. Attach notes for anything odd or strange about application materials.

If a student attended UWM, left for a year, and wants to come back, what do they need to do? What if they were academically dropped?
What is fill out a re-entry form which can be found online or at the front desk of the visitor center. They must include transcripts from any schooling that they did in between attending UWM and coming back. If they were academically dropped, they need to get permission from their advisor to return.

What do you do if a student needs proof of their visit to turn in to their school?
What is give them a verification form that is found in the top drawer of Fineas. If the PCOD is around, get them to sign it, otherwise, you can sign it yourself.

What should you do if someone asks for the status of their application?
What is look the student up in PAWS and ImageNow to make sure that all of their materials are in. If they are missing things, give them a list of what they still need to turn in. If everything is accounted for, let the student know that all of their materials are in and the application is being reviewed. They should have a decision within 2 weeks of the materials being turned in.

What do you do if a family can only come to a tour that is full?
What is offer them another tour date. If there are no others that work, invite them to come to the tour they want as a walk in and let them know that we'll get them on the tour if there are no shows, otherwise we'll set them up with a self-guided tour.

What is the difference between "Attendee Status" and "Registration Status"?
Attendee Status was created by us and is used in all of our reports. Attendee status must be updated at each stage of tour registration. It does not affect tour capacity. Registration Status was created by Hobsons and affects the capacity of the tour and whether or not the tour is open or full. It only needs to be adjusted when registering or canceling someone from a tour.

A student comes in and says that they turned in their transcripts a few weeks ago, but they are still listed as missing on PAWS. What do you do?
What is call the USA assigned to them. Frequently if this happens, the transcript is in, but due to small inconsistencies, did not get attached the correct students application.
