FALSE, this should be charted as an N

Manipulation or Escapism

She can do many things for herself!

300

A client in my group consistently refuses to go out and refused all activities I offered at the Center.  I can't check off any Enhanced Note Options either.  When others view his notes, they can't tell I tried to get him to go out or do anything...unless I record this under refused activities

ALL

300

Certain things make me react negatively: phone calls from my mom, seeing others have visits but not me, talking about hot topics (like crayons, hair styles, weather, etc). So I know I should NOT talk about these (they're in the Part 5) but what are they called?

TRIGGERS

ND

Some clients require us to use commands when speaking with them so they know how to react, like Gabe P or he will just say no thank you.  However, this technique is regularly successful and effective with all other clients.  True or False

FALSE, lets make sure we are treating everyone like individuals using manners, asking them to do things, and giving options unless otherwise noted in their plans.

400

Allen is having a rough day.  He came in and kicked the door, pounded his fist on the table, hit Doug D in the shoulder, ran out of the Center into the hall and refused to listen/interact with staff. What behavior codes would Allen get charted?

NDPA

Running into the hall is not eloping.  Since he hit a peer it is also a peer to peer incident that requires and event report AND notifying Suzanne or Tricia ASAP.

400

Medisked contains a spell checker...true or false

TRUE please read through your notes, so we all avoid writing/typing as we talk - we're all guilty of it!

500

I see another DSP struggling with a client.  The best thing I can do is let them work through it and just focus on my group.

FALSE, we need teamwork to give our clients the best possible supports.  That means if we see another team mate struggling or even not doing what needs to be done (on the phone, back turned to clients, etc), we can gently point it out or offer to help in the same manner we would wish to be approached.
