A designated server who is 21 years of age or older, not a member of Kappa Delta and who does not consume alcohol before or during the event.

What is emergency financial member status?
Emergency financial member status (EFMS) can be granted by the chapter council and AB upon application by the member by weighing the needs of the member against the financial well-being of the chapter. In this case, the chapter and the member come to an agreement about reduced financial obligations and reduced privileges as a chapter member. A member must be on good standing in all areas to qualify. EFMS applications may be approved for up to one term at a time. If a member needs it for more than one term, she must reapply.

Jordan Hightower Responsibilities: (1) prior to signing any contract, the chapter advisory board must review and approve the contract. The review MUST take place prior to signing, not afterward. (2) To approve a chapter event theme, including sisterhood activities, social events, Bid Day, etc. (3) To conduct any chapter retreat, prior to the CSC/CS granting approval. (4) Prior to the start of a new-member program, the chapter advisory board chairman and/or chapter advisory board member advising the VP-ME must approve the new-member program, prior to the CSC/CS granting approval.

What four things must a chapter member do to be in good standing?
1. Attend all chapter meetings, ritualistic services, recruitment activities and other required functions. 2. Meet all financial obligations by the deadline set in the chapter bylaws. 3. Perform chapter officer responsibilities. 4. Maintain the scholastic average required by the chapter bylaws.

What is inactive member status?
Inactive member status (IMS) can be granted by the chapter council and CAB upon application by the member by weighing the needs of the member against the well-being of the chapter. It is not to be used for members who "are really busy" or a way to excuse the obligations of membership as outlined in the Membership Expectations Form. A member may be granted IMS due to poor health, school incurred responsibilities (such as internships, student teaching and varsity athletic participation), or exceptional family obligations. A member must be on good standing in all areas to apply. IMS applications may be approved for one term at a time or part of a term. National fees must be paid and she may not attend chapter activities except by invitation of the chapter. She must pay for any chapter activity attended.

What are the educational and PACE topics that must be covered at these meetings?
The five required educational member education workshops must cover the topics of (1) academic excellence (one in fall or spring), (2) community service, (3) KD Ritual/heritage, (4) risk management and (5)leadership. The two PACE member education workshops should reflect the meaning of one letter of PACE each.

What is NCTA? Who attends it?
NCTA stands for National Collegiate Training Academy. This is a biennial meeting to provide specific training to chapter officers. All council officers attend including the Panhellenic delegate and a CAB advisor.
