How does one have a P4 kickoff meeting?
After the team is identified and before the project breaks ground, the entire project team will meet to go over the P4 Quality Management program and the schedule. The project executive will be responsible for oversight of this meeting.

What are some proactive measures that can be used to ensure weatherproofing on job sites?
We will not install drywall (or prerock) or other moisture sensitive materials in areas where the building is not fully dried. Meaning the roof does not leak, the doors and windows are installed, and the building has some level of protection via a moisture barrier (Tyvek). Glass rock may be an option if UL assembly allows it. If you are using a temporary roof to create dry-in, understand time constraints and assess all risks with your director.

It is supposed to be used as an action program to improve quality and safety on job sites.
What is the basic job trailer condition expected to be on all sites?
Skirting of trailers will be typical, keep a neat and tidy appearance inside and outside of the Office, Keep storage to a bare minimum. Storage should be isolated behind closets or office doors. The main meeting room should not be for storage of hardware, caulking, etc., Daily clean up. Sweep and empty trash daily. Clean the trailer prior to Owner meeting day and as required (including mopping of floors).

Work to be executed in the next (3) weeks This should be a detailed plan of work to be executed in the field in correlation with the main schedule. Work should be coordinated with all stakeholders involved: subcontractors, vendors/suppliers, architect, owner.
What is the P4 incentive program used for?
The P4 Quality Management Incentive Program is a jobsite quality initiative geared towards improving jobsite overall quality and rewarding project teams for consistently delivering completed projects with the high level of quality that has become known and expected on any project.

A one-on-one meeting with the Subcontractor well before their start of work. This meeting should be held with every Sub with only a few exceptions for insignificant scopes. Use the Company Standard Preparatory Meeting Checklist for all meetings. They are crucial to cover necessary topics prior to building.
Before pouring concrete for concrete slabs what needs to be identified and checked over?
Identify floor finishes prior to pouring. Identify slopes to drains and cleanouts. Confirm that MEP trade sets their embedded items (drains, clean outs, floor outlets, grates, etc.) to grade just prior to pour. Confirm any slab recesses for walking off mats, or mud sets

When meeting with a foreman for drywall for the first-time what procedures should be discussed and completed?
Have a meeting with the Foreman on day one. Confirm that the Foreman knows the project details. Give him copies of the UL assemblies that he is responsible for. Discuss drywall types, channel spacing, nailing patterns, top of wall conditions, Gypcrete conditions, STC requirements, Vinyl base locations, Paint sheens, etc. Some of this will be covered in your UL assembly kick off meeting.
