A job coach is a professional who helps individuals improve their job search skills, navigate the workplace, and achieve career goals by providing guidance, support, and practical advice.
Can you work at a PIP that we have already worked with before?
Yes
Can you apply the same skills you learn at a PIP to a Direct Hire?
Yes, the PIP is designed for you to apply the skills you learn to a direct hire
If a consumer comes to program only twice a month, should they be considered for a PIP?
No, a consumer needs to show consistent participation to be considered for a PIP.
Define technical assistance?
Technical Assistance is when a job coach comes to your worksite and serves as an aid for you to build new and maintain skills
What do you do if you tripped and fell while at work?
First contact an employee or a manager on duty at the worksite if you need any first aid or in extreme case call 911. After notify Employment Specialist or Shannen immediately by either text, call or email for next steps.
Does CRS provide any materials you need for the internship?
Yes, we can provide uniforms, name tags, assistance technology and more.
Can you have another job while doing the Paid Internship?
No, the paid internship is for individuals who have little to no work experience
What is a Disciplinary Action?
A warning
If you show up to the wrong location and your job coach is not answering the phone but you only had enough money to get to the location and back, what would you do?
Can you lose your Paid Internship after 3 warnings?
Yes and the same can apply for the real workplace
