The pin with a hole in it that is used to hold things such as stays in place

The side of the boat that is currently closer to the wind

A line used to pull in the jib
What is a jib sheet?
Any weight added to a boat that lies below the water line to help keep the boat from tipping over and rocking too much

One of these sails can only be used when sailing downwind or broad reach. The other two can be used during all points of sail.
What is one difference between a spinnaker and a main sail or jib?
Short pieces of yarn or thin sail material that help you “Tell” if your sail is trimmed correctly for the direction your sailing
