Pronouns take the place of nouns to simplify speech and/or writing. The can serve as subjects and objects in sentences.

Adjectives modify or describe a noun
What is an adverb?
Adverbs modify or describe a verb, adjective, or another adverb. It usually relates to time, place, cause, or circumstance.
What is a verb?
Verbs are actions or a state of being.
