What are the four rules for using passive voice?
Rule Number 1: It is only used when the subject is obvious, unknown or unnecessary.
Rule Number 2: It can also be used when the doer of the action doesn’t want to be stated.
Rule Number 3: When the result of an action wants to be more emphasized than the person who did it or the receiver of the action.
And Rule Number 4: Passive voice is also often used when the subject is very general.
