The Success Coach should have the student send documentation regarding the professor and/or grade complaint to the studentsfirst@umgc.edu email address. This documentation can consist of a screen shot, an email from the professor, an attachment with information that the student has pertaining to their complaint.

What are your steps if a 3rd party call in to review information on a student’s record?
Pull up the student record by searching in Salesforce for the full name. We are permitted to use a phone number or student EMPLID to assist in pulling up the record as necessary. Once the student record is located, pull up the Student Records Release Form (FERPA Form) in OnBase using the EMPLID.Confirm the name of the 3rd party matches the information listed on the form. Review the "Education Records to be released" section to understand what information the student has consented to share with the 3rd party and adhere to disclosing only the student information that has been checked. A student has had their degree conferred but is still waiting on their diploma to arrive in the mail. Student needs proof of completion by the end of the week for a work promotion. Which suggestions would you give to your student?

Student is enrolled in the Computer Science bachelor program and Undergraduate Certificate in Computer Networking. Student wants to add the Undergraduate Certificate in Cyber Threat Hunting. What would you tell the student?
Adding the Cyber Threat Hunting certificate is not allowable as it overlaps with the Computer Networking certificate (CMIT 202, CMIT 265, and CMIT 320).
Student is currently enrolled in CMSC 105 and does not have the space for it in her gen eds nor electives and was thus denied for VA benefits coverage. Student is confused as it is a pre-requisite to the first class in her major (CMSC 115). What would be your next steps?
