What is an IEP?
A written legal document (or “plan”). It’s a map that lays out the program of special education instruction, supports and services kids need to make progress and succeed in school.
What is a difference between total task TA and a forward chain TA?
- total task data is taken on every step
- forward chain data is only taken on training step
- total task reinforce at end of chain
- forward chain reinforce after training step
Where can you find a student's behavior plan?
- Z drive
- student's daily data binder
- ask teacher where they are kept
What is person first language?
The person comes before the disability in a sentence
What you should you bring to a case manager meeting?
Bring:
1. Daily Data binder
2. Program Book
What can the IEP include?
Accommodations, modifications, GOAL SETTING
Includes all aspects of a student's day
What is the difference between receptive and expressive programs and data sheets?
Receptive has a 3-choice array and the student needs no verbal response
Expressive has 3 choices WITHOUT an array and requires a verbal answer from the student
When should the DRO be run?
ALL DAY with the exception of lunch and recess. Also check with the student specific behavior plan

What should you do when you pass off a student?
Inform incoming teacher about:
- complete your data
- review upcoming schedule
- receive verbal and visual confirmation of student
How often does the IEP get updated?
Once a year
What does it mean to have a 2-second delay manual/verbal prompt?
The student has a chance to be independent before a prompt is delivered. Data recording for this can be +, +p, - or -p
Are all students allowed to have edibles?
No. Always refer to the student SPECIFIC behavior plan and IEP
Where does toileting data sheet get filed?
It gets filed under daily data.
What should you do during your morning and afternoon prep time?
Any of the following is acceptable
- update daily data binder
- check program book
- make copies
- make stim
- clean
- organize classroom
What is the difference between a goal and an objective?
Goals are overall umbrella (i.e. Math) and objectives are measurable goals (i.e. increasing math fact fluency)
What should you do when a student has gotten all correct answers during a baseline session?
Put the skill into maintenance and inform the case manager and/or classroom teacher
Where can you find a student's definitions and rules?
On the back of the daily data sheet
