This Host would be contacted when a patient was calling from OB room 352.
Who is Unit Host 3?
To ensure that a ticket will print with a restricted item on it, the Host has to select this.
What is Lock Item?
On this diet only liquids that are see through are allowed.
What is Special Services?
This Level is moist and has food particles that can fit between this tins of a fork, minimal chewing required.
What is Minced & Moist Level 5 (MM5)?
These people are responsible for ensuring that IDDSI level texture are correct before it gets to the patient.
If an item cannot be located within the Room Service Connect menu, this tab can be used to search for an item.
What is Request an item?
A patient may be put on this restriction when they do not eat any form of animal products. Including: milk, eggs, meats, broths, etc.
What is a Vegan?
If an order for a patient comes across the printer and it asks for in-between meal snacks to be ordered. Under this Tab this information would be entered.
What is Nourishments?
This liquid level is compare able to the previous texture of Nectar thick and should not be given transitional liquids (such as ice cream).
What is Mildly Thick Level 2 (MT2)?
This person would be contacted to speak with a patient if a Host realizes the patient is not ordering a good amount of food.
Who is a Dietitian?
A patient has already had their tray for lunch but wants more food. This selection is made to provide the patient more food.

To see a patient's past diet orders or to enter a new diet order combination for a patient it can be done under this tab.
What is Diet Order?
When testing this level the fork test is used. The food item will squash completely and not regain its shape.
What is Soft & Bite-Sized Level 6 (SB6)?
This person would be contacted by a Host if they had any questions about IDDSI levels or textures.
Under this tab the Host can see all the nutritional facts for that meal.
What is Meal Nutrients & Exchanges?
Many times sodium, fluids, potassium and phosphorus are restricted on this diet.
What is Renal?
Under this Tab you can type in Staff notes that will also appear on the ipads in Room Service Connect.
What is General?
